UNDP supports equality campaign on the eve of the International Women's Day Kyiv, 3 March: On the eve of the International Women’s Day, with this year's theme “Equal rights, equal opportunities: progress for all”, and with support from “National network of men-leaders against violence”, UNDP has supported signing of the "Declaration of Respect". The Declaration is in support of equal rights and opportunities of women and men, as well as children rights protection in Ukraine.

UNDP and Coca-Cola Company to continue their joint community development Project “Every Drop Matters” Novograd-Volynskyi (Zhytomyr Region), 23 February: Steering Committee members of the joint UNDP and Coca-Cola Company Project “Every Drop Matters” (EDM) have visited Novograd-Volynsky municipality to review successful application of community-based approach aimed at improving access to safe drinking water in the city. Gender equality issues should be high on agenda within secondary and higher schools, experts say Kyiv, 17-18 February: Ukrainian education system could be largely characterised as favouring gender stereotypes among children and youth. Therefore, it is important to include gender equality topics in educational programmes and curricula within secondary schools and higher education institutions. It was one of conclusions that were formulated during the All-Ukrainian gender education Forum “Education and equality”. The Forum was held at the initiative of Equal Opportunities and Women’s Rights in Ukraine Programme (a joint project of the European Union, UNDP abd SIDA).
